As temperatures continue to rise, health officials in Sheboygan County are offering ways for residents to escape the heat.
In Sheboygan County and many other communities along the lakeshore, a heat advisory has been issued until 8:00 p.m. today (July 15th).
With that in mind, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health is reminding residents of cooling centers located around the community.
They include the Mead, Elkhart Lake, Plymouth, Kohler, Oostburg, and Cedar Grove Public Libraries, as well as the Sheboygan Falls Memorial Library and the Lakeview Community Library in Random Lake.
Additional cooling centers include Uptown Social in the City of Sheboygan and Generations in Plymouth.
Along with this reminder, the Division of Public Health also advised the public to “drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.”
