The community is invited to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Schmitt Brothers’ victory as international barbershop quartet champions.
The iconic family of singers won the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA) competition in 1951, putting Two Rivers on the map.
A family-friendly event will be held at Two Rivers Central Park on July 18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. and will include a free barbershop concert.
Several bands will perform on the Schmitt Brothers Stage, which was previously dedicated to the champion barbershop quartet after the renovations at Central Park.
Food and beverages will be available, along with ice cream from Washington House Museum.
