The City of Manitowoc is starting its third of three 2026 budgeted road projects.
City Engineer Greg Minikel says starting Monday (July 13th), South 30th Street from Dewey to Viebahn Street will be closed for reconstruction.
Funding comes from the Wisconsin DOT, and Vinton Construction will be the prime contractor.
The entire project is scheduled to be finished by September 30th.
Money is also going toward the reconstruction of Lancers Circle and Viebahn Street from S.10th Street to Lakeside Blvd.
Manitowoc is also closing all of West Marshall Street between S. 36th and S. 39th Streets for sanitary and storm sewer construction beginning next Tuesday (July 14th).
Alfson Excavating will be the prime contractor for the project, which is expected to be done by August 4th.
