A Manitowoc woman will be pleading soon in a Manitowoc drug overdose death.
40-year-old Halli Bubolz has a scheduled plea date for August 4th in Branch 3.
A criminal complaint says Manitowoc Police were called to the 1100 block of S. 14th Street for an overdose death in October last year.
There, they found the victim in bed, deceased from using fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Police got in touch with his girlfriend for information after police found the victim had left to visit her in Kaukauna.
She confirmed the victim used fentanyl because of a shoulder injury.
The complaint says a Discord conversation found by police would show Bubolz and the victim talking about getting and using fentanyl.
Manitowoc Police would later use surveillance footage to see the unnamed man go to a building on Washington Street.
A search warrant was done two months later, with Bubolz admitting to giving the victim fentanyl after getting the drugs from another man.
She faces charges of 1st-degree reckless homicide, manufacturing and delivering fentanyl, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The man she got the drugs from is not directly charged in the case, but faces his own list of drug-related charges, according to court records.
