A unique and popular event is returning to an upgraded beach in Manitowoc.
The fourth annual Wisconsin Sand Sculpting Festival will be held at the City’s Red Arrow Beach and Park, Saturday and Sunday, July 18th and 19th.
The event will feature both amateur and semi-pro sculpting competitions, along with vendor booths, an entertainment tent with a DJ, live musical performances, and S.S. Badger “Badger Bingo”.
There will also be food trucks at the park, which just recently reopened after significant upgrades.
The event opens Saturday at 10:00 a.m., when nine semi-pro sand sculptors will have already begun their multi-ton creations.
Festival attendees can watch the action and chat with the competitors.
Visitors can even join in the judging on Sunday by voting for the People’s Choice.
Visit Manitowoc and Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary are organizing the event, and Fox Communities Credit Union leads a long list of sponsors.
