More road work has been announced in the City of Sheboygan.
Sheboygan’s Department of Public Works has shared that crews will begin work on portions of Clara Avenue and Ontario Avenue, North 11th Street, and North 12th Street on Monday (July 13th).
Work on Ontario will be done between 11th and 12th Streets, while work on 11th and 12th will stretch from Ontario Avenue to Erie Avenue.
Meanwhile, work on Clara Avenue will take place between South 7th Street and South 14th Street.
With construction beginning on Monday, these stretches of Clara, Ontario, North 11th, and North 12th will be closed to through traffic until they are completed, with a finish date tentatively scheduled for the end of August for both projects.
Work to be completed in both work zones includes storm sewer improvements, new crosswalks at select intersections, asphalt paving, and more.
There is no planned detour near Ontario Avenue, however, regarding the Clara Avenue project, the DPW explains, “The truck route detour will utilize South 8th Street, Broadway, and South 7th Street back to Clara Avenue. The temporary truck route will be in use until all construction activities are complete.”
