The Village of Mishicot will be getting assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for Spring flooding.
Police Chief Paul Granger says he has not seen any formal notification distributed for FEMA Individual Assistance from Manitowoc County Emergency Management, but wants the community to be aware of the resources available.
Granger says if Mishicot residents’ homes, property, or personal belongings were impacted by flooding, they should contact FEMA and explore if they qualify for assistance.
If residents have trouble obtaining information or are unsure where to start, they can contact Granger directly.
Chief Granger also noted that there could be a late August deadline for applications.
Mishicot dealt with flooding during heavy rain earlier this year.
Streets and parks were completely flooded, and homes were damaged by rushing water that flooded basements.
More details about FEMA information can be found at the Village of Mishicot Facebook page.
