Milwaukee is highlighting a decline in crime.
City leaders spoke to reporters yesterday about Brew City crime through the first half of 2026, which includes a drop in homicides and non-fatal shootings.
There have been 49 homicides in Milwaukee so far this year, compared to 70 at this time in 2025.
Non-fatal shootings went from 272 last year to 199 this year.
Officials also mentioned a high rate of homicides being solved this year, standing at 98 percent solved.
However, leaders noted an increase in crime at city parks with summer in full swing.
