Another impersonation scam has hit the area.
The Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center has been receiving numerous calls from citizens reporting that someone has been calling residents claiming to be Lieutenant Williams with the Sheriff’s Office.
The caller then asks the target to call them back.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office noted that they do not have a Lieutenant Williams on their staff and encourages anyone who receives a call from someone claiming to be with the department to call the non-emergency line at 920-459-3111.
