The 4th of July weekend ended on a sour note for a Sheboygan County man.
A trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway F and Vista Drive in Fond du Lac County after noticing equipment violations on the vehicle.
When the Trooper made contact with the driver, 44-year-old Travis David Balz of Plymouth, they also noticed signs of impairment and open intoxicants in the vehicle.
While searching his person, the Tropper also located methamphetamine, leading to charges of OWI, his 5th offense, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Balz was placed on a probation hold while also being cited for Possession of Open Intoxicants.
