Madison police are looking for a suspect accused of shooting another person on Independence Day.
It happened Saturday night during a July 4th barbecue near Prairie Ridge Conservation Park when the department received reports of a man being shot.
The suspect and victim reportedly got into an altercation during the barbecue, and then the suspect opened fire, sending the victim to the hospital for their wounds.
Police noted the suspect left the scene, and they are looking for them, with a charge of attempted homicide possible.
