A Milwaukee police officer and a suspect are recovering following a car collision and shooting.
Investigators say the officer was hit by the 18-year-old suspect while he was driving a car early yesterday morning near East Knapp Street and North Water Street.
The teen was allegedly fleeing a shooting nearby when he hit the officer with his car.
Officers fired weapons at the fleeing vehicle, and they later found the suspect with a gunshot wound.
Both were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
