Utility work is set to cause extended road closures in the City of Sheboygan Falls.
Sheboygan Falls Utilities has announced that, beginning Monday (July 6th), portions of Monroe Street, Hickory Street, and Michigan Street will be closed for lead water line repairs.
As the project progresses, Monroe between Broadway and Water Streets will experience a full closure that is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Sheboygan Falls Utilities has advised that the contractor has not provided an exact schedule for this portion of the closure; however, it is expected to occur in early August.
Residents and businesses inside the project area will continue to have access, and streets will remain open to local traffic only.
While work is being completed, access to Rochester Park will also be maintained. When this project comes to an end, currently planned for mid-to-late August, the Sheboygan Falls Department of Public Works will then start work on Pine Street.
Sheboygan Falls residents are asked to watch for additional details regarding the Pine Street work in August.
