Wade House is having a fun family weekend that has everything to do with horse-drawn carriages.
Wade House announces its annual carriage driving days will be July 10th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, July 11th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and July 12th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The event will begin in the visitors’ center, where guests will board a horse-drawn wagon, which will take them to the arena.
In the arena, visitors are invited to watch drivers and their horses compete in several carriage-driving competitions and see the winners earn the coveted blue ribbon.
Spectators will also be able to join in the fun by participating in several of their own competitions, as well as being able to tour the historic Wade House.
Admission for adults and teens is $17 for the day pass and $27 for the weekend pass, for senior citizens, $15 for the day pass and $25 for the weekend pass, for children 5 to 12, $8.50 for the day pass and $12.50 for the weekend pass, and children under 5 are free.
