WinterWorks in Sturgeon Bay will be having a new play festival.
Third Avenue Playworks has announced the expansion of its annual WinterWorks Play Reading Series in 2027 to the WinterWorks New Play Festival.
This festival now spans the entire month of February and features free workshop readings on Saturdays and three new plays.
Playwrights from around the country are encouraged to apply to have their work developed into the inaugural WinterWorks New Play Festival.
It is free to apply, and submissions are open from July 6th through August 2nd.
Projects selected will receive a full professional workshop, and playwrights will be provided with transportation, housing, and a $600 honorarium.
A public announcement of the festival plays will be in November.
