An American Legion Post is celebrating the 4th of July at a new historic flagpole.
Their Celebration of Freedom takes place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Meeme Liberty Pole.
It will be followed by a social at Shadows in School Hill and hosted by American Legion Post 477 of St. Nazianz.
The recently installed pole features a 12-by-18-foot American flag that is visible and also recognizes America’s 250th anniversary.
The pole is located at the Corner of County Road M and XX.
