An Appleton man has filed an appeal in his recent conviction for distributing child pornography.
26-year-old James Ching was ordered by Federal Judge William Griesbach to spend more than eight years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal charge of Distributing Child Pornography.
However, WBAY reports that Ching has filed an appeal, claiming that Judge Griesbach used a previous case of sexual assault against him during sentencing, even though he was acquitted of those charges.
It is unclear when this appeal will be heard by the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
