A local transit company is offering a unique way to beat the extreme heat.
The City of Sheboygan’s bus line, Shoreline Metro, will be offering mobile cooling centers to anyone who needs them this week while heat warnings or advisories are in place.
Anyone needing a place to cool down is allowed to hang out on a Shoreline Metro bus at no cost.
At any bus stop, simply notify the bus driver that you need a place to escape the heat and cool down.
The mobile cooling centers offered by Shoreline Metro are in addition to numerous community cooling centers available to residents in Sheboygan County, including public libraries and community centers.
