The City of Sheboygan is looking to raise awareness about its Sister City program.
The Mayor’s International Committee has begun accepting applications for a photo exchange program with both of Sheboygan’s Sister Cities, Tsubame, Japan, and Esslingen, Germany.
Selected applicants will be paired with fellow photographers from each sister city who will share photos of their respective communities on a biweekly basis.
On the purpose of this photo exchange, the City noted, “This project is intended to raise awareness between our Sister Cities, to foster individual relationships between residents, and to create a visual representation of international collaboration.”
The project is expected to run from sometime in July to October, and no previous photography or language experience is needed to apply.
Sheboygan’s Sister City photo exchange will culminate with a physical display of the themed pictures at venues in each of the three cities.
The number of applicants selected to participate will be based on recruitment in Esslingen and Tsubame.
