A Green Bay woman has been convicted in a drunk driving case that resulted in two deaths.
FOX11 reports that 21-year-old Laney Peters was in front of Judge Thomas Walsh yesterday, where she was found guilty due to no contest pleas on charges of Injury by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle and two counts of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle, while three other charges were dismissed but read into the record.
The crash occurred on Highway 172 near Oneida Street in Ashwaubenon two years and five days prior to her conviction.
18-year-old Emma Daniels and 19-year-old Mee-Mingwaa Phillips died after the vehicle struck a tree and spun violently.
Peters was set to go on trial at the end of July, but that is no longer the case, as she will be sentenced on August 25th.
