Grow it Forward is looking for volunteers who are interested in gardening.
On a recent episode of WOMT’s Cultivating Communities show, Grow it Forward CEO Amber Daug explained that the organization could use some volunteers every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to perform a couple of different tasks.
“If you are looking to get your hand dirty and help us do a good deed, we are looking for help in weeding and watering and harvesting and transplanting, seeding our garden beds,” she explained.
Volunteers would be able to work with Rory, their professional horticulturist.
He would be able to teach volunteers about the ins and outs of gardening and answer any questions they have for him.
They need helpers for several of their programs, with no age or skill requirements.
“We are also looking for volunteers in our other programs that we offer at Grow it Forward,” Daugs revealed. “To find out about those programs, you can go to our website, which is grow54220.com, and find out all the volunteer opportunities that take place at our headquarters.”
This is a great opportunity for high school students who don’t have all of their volunteer hours in yet.
Grow it Forward is located at 2344 South 14th Street, and for any additional information, visit Grow54220.com or call 920-645-9467.
