Past recipients of a prestigious arts scholarship will be in Kohler this weekend to showcase their talents.
The Kohler Foundation’s first Arts at the Waelderhaus (Wall-der-house) of the summer will be held on Sunday (June 28th) at 2:00 p.m., featuring Paolo González and Clara Montes, previous winners of the Ruth DeYoung Kohler Scholarship for Artistic Excellence.
Montes, a violinist and Kohler graduate, received the scholarship in 2019, while González, a pianist, received it in 2024 following his senior year at Sheboygan North.
On Montes and González’s upcoming performance, the Kohler Foundation stated, “Audiences can expect a compelling performance that highlights both technical mastery and expressive depth, reflecting the scholarship’s longstanding commitment to supporting emerging artists.”
The Arts at the Waelderhaus music series is free to attend and open to the public. Doors will open at 1:15 p.m., and seating is first-come, first-served.
