Fundraising is still underway for a new sports facility in Two Rivers.
Two Rivers Youth Sports is building a new field adjacent to Vietnam Park for athletes ages 8 to 18 in Manitowoc County.
The field will have the ability to support softball, baseball, flag football, kickball, soccer, and more, and will feature a state-of-the-art infield, including two dugouts, a press box, bathrooms, a concession stand, a seating area, and a picnic area.
Over 75 children participate in their program, which has raised $540,000 so far. That accounts for roughly 75% of the overall goal.
Since 2012, Two Rivers Youth Sports has helped support numerous projects throughout the area, including support for Mishicot and Manitowoc youth sports programs as well.
