June Dairy Month is here, and with it comes a rise in cheese sales.
Leon’s Cheese is a local cheese shop based in Two Rivers.
This business started in 2022 and is family-run, which Leon’s Marketing Director, Tyler Freitag, said on the WCUB Breakfast Club, is the best way to do it.
“It’s just a cool thing to be able to work with family and grow a business with family,” he explained. “It’s just a really special thing.”
They have a plethora of products available, from hand rubbed to aged cheddars, and their catalog is always growing.
“And there’s some new stuff coming too, so we always keep things in the pipeline, and we are excited to share them,” Freitag noted.
Along with the variety of cheese options, there might be something different on the way.
“So, the farmhouse cheddar, eventually that’s going to be a wine cheese as well with a Malbec wine,” he explained. “We are working on that currently.”

Tyler Frontage says that having a massive variety of cheeses allows their cheese to be able to be added to any recipe you can imagine.
Their cheese is offered in many different stores around the Manitowoc area, along with some in places you’d never think you’d find Wisconsin cheese.
“In Manitowoc, we are in Festival Foods, Piggly Wiggly, and then Harmony Café with Grow It Forward,” Freitag revealed. “We are spread out about 30 grocery stores in Wisconsin right now, and another 20 to 30 down in the Florida area, which is interesting.”
If you’re interested in purchasing from Leons Cheese, they have an Etsy page for online sales, and any order over $35 includes free shipping.
