A Manitowoc man accused of stealing Pokémon and football cards from a Manitowoc store has been sentenced.
31-year-old Nicholas Arizola was present inside a Manitowoc County courtroom on Monday (June 22nd) for a plea and sentencing hearing.
At that hearing, Arizola was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on two charges of Retail Theft between $500 and $5,000, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and Carrying a Concealed Knife. Meanwhile, additional drug and bail-jumping charges were dismissed but read into the record.
Upon his conviction, Judge Anthony Lambrecht ordered the 31-year-old to spend one year behind bars followed by two years on extended supervision.
Arizola, and 31-year-old Amber Lutzke, were caught stealing seven boxes of football cards, 26 Pokémon-related items, two butane refills, and two Easter totes from Meijer in February of this year.
Arizola’s drug and weapons charges came about after an incident at the Quality Inn on South 44th Street.
Lutzke, who also faces a Retail Theft charge, is due back in court for a status conference on June 30th.
