Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to help search for a man wanted on a felony warrant.
A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy was on patrol just after noon yesterday (June 23rd) when he saw a man known to have an active nationwide felony warrant riding a bike south on Lakeshore Drive in the Town of Friendship.
The deputy attempted to make contact with the man, but he fled on his bike before ditching the bike and fleeing on foot through private property to the west.
The deputy lost sight of the man, so additional deputies, along with the Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac Police Department, were called in to assist.
K-9 officers and drones were also deployed to assist with the search along a dense marsh.
It was there that the 50-year-old Rib Lake man was located and arrested without further incident.
He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for medical clearance before being booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail.
