There are two meetings scheduled for today (June 23rd) in the City of Two Rivers.
Up first will be the Room Tax Commission, which will be in the Committee Room in City Hall at 4:00 p.m.
After reviewing the year-to-date budget report, the group will hear from Explore Two Rivers regarding events, the I LOVE TR campaign, and the 2027 Visitor Guide.
Then, at 5:15 p.m., the Business and Industrial Development Committee and Community Development Authority will hold a joint meeting in the Council Chambers.
After hearing input from the public, the group will get an update on the Sandy Bay Highlands and will discuss marketing for the Subdivision with Weichert Cornerstone Realty.
They will also discuss potential revolving loan fund requests from the Cool City Motel and a potential new restaurant in the downtown area.
No details were given regarding that new restaurant.
The group will also receive updates on the Forrest Avenue Apartments, West River Lofts, and Flavor Hut before discussing a potential property acquisition in a closed session.
