The former head of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is ending her campaign for governor.
Missy Hughes was one of a number of Democrats seeking that party’s nomination for the state’s top job.
She suspended her campaign yesterday and endorsed the candidacy of Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez.
Hughes said Monday that true leadership means stepping aside and making sure that her party coalesces around someone who can win in November.
In her judgment, that someone is Rodriguez.
