One of the two men involved in a Two Rivers kidnapping has been sentenced.
23-year-old Alexcer Solis Gomez was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of Abduction of a Child as Party to the Crime, and was ordered by Judge Jerilyn Dietz to spend four years in prison followed by 10 years on extended supervision.
Solis Gomez, along with Pedro Giron Perez, had picked up a 16-year-old girl in Two Rivers in November, claiming to be taking her to her boyfriend’s place in Utah.
However, prosecutors say the duo assaulted the victim in Iowa and that this was part of a larger human trafficking operation.
Giron Perez is also facing an abduction charge and is due for a plea hearing on July 1st, also in front of Judge Dietz.
