
A church in Newton will be hosting weekend fun for the family next month.
Picnic & Fiesta ’26 will be in Newton, hosted by St. Thomas the Apostle, the weekend of July 25th and 26th.
The event will have brats, burgers, homemade desserts, and beverages, along with games, raffles, grocery baskets, and children’s activities, and a silent auction starting on the 25th and ending at 3 p.m. on the 26th.
On the 25th, there will be an outdoor polka mass at 4 p.m., a pork dinner in the social hall from 5 to 7 p.m., a homemade pie auction at 6:45 p.m., and music and dancing until 8 p.m.
On the 26th, there will be a bilingual mass at 10 a.m., a loteria at 2 p.m., a vintage vehicle display from 12 to 4 p.m., and musical entertainment from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The final event will be the monster cash raffle, offering a total of $10,000 in prizes.
They will draw 12 winners on the 26th at 4:30 p.m. with tickets at $10 each.
