Ground has been officially broken on a remodeling project in the Sheboygan Area School District.
Students, staff, and board of education members gathered to kick off the rebuilding of Urban and Farnsworth Middle Schools.
The school district thanked its partners, including Bray Architects, C.D. Smith Construction, and Quasius Construction, for their help.
Work begins with the demolition of an auditorium before construction of the addition gets underway.
Several classrooms will also be remodeled.
Both projects are expected to be completed within the next two years.
Funding for the project comes from a $121 million referendum approved by voters in the 2024 General Election.
