
Two Manitowoc men will be representing Wisconsin at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota.
Preston Bjarnarson earned a spot on Team Wisconsin for his bowling ability.
He is joined by Manitowoc volleyball player Luke Smith.
Team Wisconsin, which is comprised of athletes and coaches from 31 local programs and all seven regions, will compete in nine sports throughout the week, including team basketball, bocce, bowling, cornhole, golf, powerlifting, swimming, track & field, and volleyball.
Also representing Eastern Wisconsin will be Jacob Decker of Green Bay, who will participate in the cornhole competition.
The Wisconsinites will face off against 3,000 other athletes from around the country at the University of Minnesota, thanks to the hard work of over 10,000 volunteers.
The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games begin on Saturday (June 20th) and run through next Friday.
