A Janesville man accused of killing a young child has entered an insanity plea.
Channel 3000 reported yesterday Dayveon Lathrop will undergo an exam that’s expected to be completed by July 10th.
The deadline is more than a week before Lathrop is scheduled to go on trial for charges of intentional homicide and hiding a corpse.
He was arrested back in the spring of 2024 after the 8-year-old boy was found dead by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
Lathrop was found competent to stand trial back in December.
