One of the candidates running to take over for Senator Andre Jacque has received a major endorsement.
Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski has officially endorsed Nic Cravillion as he runs for office in the 1st Senate District.
Sheriff Joski is a well-respected member of the area law enforcement community, having served as Sheriff for over 20 years of his 30-year career in law enforcement while also serving in the Army National Guard.
Sheriff Joski specifically pointed to Cravillion’s experience as a staffer for Sen. Jacque and his military service as major reasons for the endorsement.
He also noted, “Our state motto, ‘Forward, ‘ brings forth a powerful message to all of us…I believe that Nic Cravillion possesses the character strengths to bring that motto to life and re-establish it as a call to action for the betterment of our state. I support Nic and his efforts to serve as our next 1st District State Senator.”
As of today, there are five candidates looking to take the seat.
They include fellow Republican candidates Jacob VandenPlas, Barbra Bittner, and Katie Baney, as well as Mark Becker, who is running as an Independent.
