The man hired to manage Manitowoc County’s finances is no longer employed by the county.
County Executive Tyler Martell confirms with Seehaferenews.com that JJ Gutman resigned as Manitowoc County Finance Director.
Because it’s a personnel matter, Martell could not tell us specifically why he decided to leave.
The county’s website explains that the Finance Director is responsible for the development/maintenance and administration of a central accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, payroll, and reporting, among other tasks.
The county’s Finance Department is also responsible for the property and liability insurance program.
