
Robert (Bob) Jerome Egbert
March 29, 1950 – June 10, 2026
Bob was the 2nd of 7 children born to Mary (Hayden) and Jerry Egbert of Clarks Mills, WI. He attended St. Mary’s Grade School at Clarks Mills and Valders High School.
Bob was a United States Marine veteran and served from 1968 until 1972; with one year in Vietnam. He was an aircraft mechanic with VMCJ -2 (Marine Composite Reconnaissance Squadron) in the Da Nang area of Vietnam. He completed his military service as a Sergeant E5 and returned to the Manitowoc, Wisconsin area. He received recognition for his time in Vietnam in 2024 receiving the Quilt of Valor.
After his military service, he lived in the Mishicot area where he raised his two children, Robin and Jonathon; and worked for many years at Eis Implement as a mechanic on heavy farming equipment. In 2004, he moved to Tucson Az and continue his mechanical work on large farming equipment at a large ranch in Gila Bend until his retirement in 2018.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting. He collected old guns as a hobby and was an avid NASCAR fan. When living in Wisconsin, he enjoyed bonfires in the backyard with family and friends, snowmobiling, and ice skating as a child. The frozen Manitowoc River in winter at Clarks Mills and Cato Falls were his ice rink. He taught some of his younger siblings to ice skate.
Bob is survived by his two children, Robin of Tucson and Jonathon of Las Vegas; his two grandchildren, Brenner (Tucson) and Dodge (Manitowoc). Bob is further survived by his brothers, Greg (Barb) of Manitowoc and Marty (Julie) of Baraboo. His two sisters and sister-in-law, Sandy of Manitowoc, Veronica (Jim) Reinboldt of Valders and Nancy Egbert of Pueblo West, Colorado. Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews who he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marry and Jerry Egbert, sister, Peggy Chari, Peggy’s husband Sreenivas Chari, brother Leo Egbert and grandson, Cody Egbert.
A celebration of Bobs life will be held later in the year in the Manitowoc area.
