There are a pair of meetings on the calendar for today (June 15th) in the City of Manitowoc.
Up first is the Committee of the Whole, which will be in the Council Chambers at 5:15 p.m.
After hearing input from the public, the group will discuss the city’s goals for 2026-2030 and the first amendment to TID 24, which encompasses the project at the former Mid Cities and Lakeshore Mall properties.
Then, at 6:30 p.m., the Common Council will take over the Chambers, where they will administer the oaths of office for New Fire Chief Benjamin Kraynek, Assistant Fire Chief Jeremy Wagner, and Battalion Chief Thomas Christensen.
Then, after approving the three-year land lease and option to purchase submitted by Olin Winchester, the Council will vote on a resolution to set the seasonal employment pay rates for the year.
They will also look over proposed ordinance amendments for the sections of the municipal code related to regulating intersections, arteries of through traffic, and four-way stops.
