One of the leaders of the Salvation Army in Manitowoc County has been promoted.
Lieutenant Samantha Tamayo has been promoted to the rank of Captain.
In a post on her Facebook page, she says she will never take for granted that she has a job that allows her to do what sets her soul on fire and gives her purpose.
She’s called the last 10 to 15 years “wild”.
To finish, Capt. Tamayo said, “It’s only because of God that I am who I am and that I can honestly say, ‘I like who I am and what I do’.”
Samantha and her husband, Johnathan, took over for Jenny Moffit back in 2024.
