The City of Manitowoc could amend a contract with a Green Bay developer for the former Mid-Cities and Lakeshore Mall properties.
Community Development Director Adam Tegan explained in a memo to the city that an issue was encountered during infrastructure installation on the site, adding $300,000 in costs.
The specific issue was not provided, but Tycore Built is requesting consideration on “amending the agreement to include a reimbursement of the unexpected costs.”
That means the city council could approve an amendment to TID #24, the district created to develop the former mall sites.
Tegan says Tycore Built has been moving forward and “excellent to work with thus far.”
The city leveled the area in 2024 after purchasing the property back from a private developer.
The land could accommodate up to 40 single-family homes and 150 multi-family units, along with commercial development.
The City will review the proposed amendment to TID 24 tonight.
