A Stockbridge woman has thrown her hat into the ring to represent Wisconsin’s Senate District 1.
Barb Bittner is a lifelong Wisconsin resident, business owner, and proud dairy farm daughter, who has announced her candidacy to take over upon the retirement of Senator Andre Jacque.
One of the main reasons she decided to get her name on the ballot was that she wanted to make sure “our district continues to have a strong conservative leader in Madison that will be the voice for our families, businesses, farmers, and our amazing way of life.”
Bittner is running on a promise to reduce property taxes, protect parental rights, defend constitutional freedoms, support law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, and emergency personnel, and to “(defend) life from conception to natural death while improving access to quality health care for mothers, children, veterans, seniors, and rural communities.”
In summation, Bittner says she wants to represent Senate District 1 because “I want future generations to have the same opportunities I had growing up on a dairy farm. Wisconsin needs a fighter in Madison who understands our way of life, respects hard work, and will stand up for the people who feed, build, protect, and strengthen our communities every single day.”
