A Door County acting group is inviting wannabe thespians to a series of workshops.
Third Avenue PlayWorks in Sturgeon Bay, also known as TAP, has summer and fall workshops led by Dan Klarer open to teens and adults interested in theater.
These workshops will be available this summer for ages 8 to 12 on July 13-16, and ages 13 to 17 on July 27-30.
Due to donations, these workshops will be a pay-what-you-will for participants.
Summer workshops will be at TAP from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Those attending will be doing a mix of improv, theater games, and acting exercises, requiring no prior acting experience.
Each week-long session will have a capacity for 12 participants and a suggested price of $150.
For adults who want to join in on the fun, a 6-week-long adult workshop will be held on Mondays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. starting September 28th, with a suggested price of $150.
At the end of these sessions, theater workshops will continue on November 2nd on a drop-in basis at $25 a week, covering topics like scene study and monologue preparation.
