One of the men charged with kidnapping a girl in Two Rivers has had his sentence pushed back.
23-year-old Alexcer Solis Gomez returned to Manitowoc County Court this morning for a plea date.
As the hearing was underway, a person supporting the victim showed up late. Judge Jerilyn Dietz asked if the plea hearing could continue if they moved the sentencing hearing.
Solis Gomez’s attorney, Julius Andriusis, asked to pause the hearing and adjourn it to next week because his client wants to do the plea hearing and sentencing on the same day.
Judge Dietz adjourned the plea hearing until next Friday (June 19th), so people with the victim can be there.
Solis Gomez is charged with abduction of a child as a party to a crime after the Manitowoc teen was allegedly taken from Two Rivers in November last year.
Two Rivers Police say that the victim was seen being picked up from a friend’s house by an unknown male from out of the state.
Wyoming Highway Patrol later found the vehicle and took Solis Gomez and 33-year-old Pedro Giron Perez into custody.
The 23-year-old says he was taking the victim to see her boyfriend in California.
Giron Perez will be back in court on July 1st for his own plea hearing.
