More calls were made to the Manitowoc Police Department in May this year than last year.
Department numbers show that there were 2,403 calls for service last month compared to 2,397 in May 2025.
Despite the uptick, total calls for service are still down.
There have been 10,874 calls in 2026 compared to 10,954 calls at this time last year. Adult criminal charges are down compared to 2025.
Police reported 110 adults charged in May 2026 compared to 143 in May 2025. For a third month in a row, juvenile charges are up slightly.
There were eight juveniles charged last month, while there were only six in 2025. Year-to-date numbers have tripled.
There have been 65 juveniles charged in 2026 compared to just 29 by this time in 2025.
Manitowoc Police reported the same number of accidents in May this year and last year, with 87 total.
Accident numbers are slightly down, with 422 reported in 2026 compared to 426 by this time last year.
