Just days remain to make donations to a local hygiene drive.
The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Sheboygan County’s World Elder Abuse Awareness Day hygiene product drive will come to an end tomorrow (June 12th).
This collection event aims to gather essential self-care and cleaning products for individuals 60 years or older and those with disabilities.
Suggested items for donation include toiletries, hand and body soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, toilet paper, and shampoo or conditioner, among many others.
Those who do donate are asked to only give new, unexpired, and unopened items. Donations can be brought to the ADRC of Sheboygan County at 650 Forest Avenue in Sheboygan Falls or the Health and Human Services building on 8th Street in Sheboygan.
On the importance of this hygiene drive, the ADRC noted, “These donations are vital for providing support and establishing trust with those who may be hesitant to seek assistance.”
This event is not only intended to help out those in need in our community, but also to raise awareness on elder abuse ahead of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15th.
Questions on the hygiene drive can be directed to the ADRC by calling 920-467-4100.
