
As the Sail into Summer Dog Show enters its third day, a new report highlights just how much Wisconsinites love their dogs.
Pet Accessories Shop Fur King analyzed 19 different factors to determine the most dog-friendly states in America.
They split those factors into four categories: dog ownership and commitment, pet services and infrastructure, dog-friendly spaces, and air quality and climate.
Based on their study, Wisconsin is the 10th most dog-friendly state, with a score of 50.22 out of 100.
Fur King specifically highlights the 6.27 animal shelters per 100,000 residents, and the number of vets at 59.31 per 100,000 dog owners.
Wisconsin also has the most parks per 100,000 residents in the study, at 68.65.
Alaska was the highest-rated state with a score of 58.21, while Mississippi was the least dog-friendly state at 25.57.
