The Sheboygan Police Department is changing the way it reaches residents.
The department has shared that they will be retiring their current mass notification system, Nixle.
This change will be made official on July 1st.
In place of Nixle, Sheboygan Police will be switching to the same mass notification system the City adopted in March as part of a revitalization of its website and SeeClickFix reporting tool.
Those looking to sign up to be a part of the notification system can simply text SheboyganWI to 38276.
Alternatively, those looking to sign up for the Police Department-specific notifications can do so by visiting sheboyganwi.gov and selecting “Police Notifications.”
