Emergency services calls in the City of Two Rivers are on the rise.
Through the end of May, city officials say the Two Rivers Fire Department responded to over 872 calls for service in 2026, including nearly 800 emergency incidents.
That’s up 4% compared to the same period last year.
Non-emergency calls have also gone up by 45% compared to last year.
The city is sharing the numbers in order to highlight an important reality that “demand for public safety services continues to grow while revenue that supports local government often does not keep pace with that growth.”
Public safety operations account for about 57% of the Two Rivers General Fund budget.
Two Rivers officials finish saying that they remain grateful for the dedication and professionalism of the men and women who answer the calls, day and night.
