The Green Bay Packers have teamed up with the Brown County UW-Extension to expand the Planting for a Purpose Program. They are aiming to encourage community members to donate fresh produce to local food pantries. The project kick off dates are Friday May 25th from 4: 00-6:00 PM and Saturday May 26th from 9:00-11:00 AM 210 Museum Place in Green Bay, and Saturday June 2nd from 8:00 AM-Noon at the Farmer’s Market on South Washington Street. Local gardeners are encouraged to sign up for Planting for a Purpose and pledge to donate a portion of their harvest to a local food pantry.
