A police officer in Sheboygan has been honored for his work on a recent investigation.
Earlier this week, the Sheboygan County Coordinated Community Response Team presented Officer Dylan Hill of the Sheboygan Police Department with the Community Impact Award.
In the department’s announcement, it stated, “Officer Hill was recognized for his exceptional professionalism, empathy, and dedication during a recent sexual assault investigation. Throughout the case, Officer Hill demonstrated a victim-centered approach, ensuring that the victim was treated with dignity, compassion, and respect while conducting a thorough and comprehensive investigation.”
Investigations involving sexual violence tend to be rather complex and emotionally challenging, not only for the victims but for the officers involved as well.
The department added, “Officer Hill’s ability to balance investigative excellence with genuine compassion exemplifies the qualities that help build trust with victims and strengthen our community’s response to crime.”
