For the second straight year, the Sheboygan County Human Trafficking Task Force welcomed its peers for a day of learning.
Last week, the group held its 2nd annual Sheboygan County Sensitive Crimes Symposium, which saw over 125 professionals from across the state in attendance.
On what was covered during the symposium, the task Force explained, “This symposium was intentionally designed to provide victim service professionals with current information, practical strategies, and valuable perspectives to help ensure the highest quality care and support for victims of crime.”
Throughout the day, topics such as human trafficking, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, crisis intervention, and much more were discussed by industry experts.
While focusing on a wide range of different sensitive crimes, an overarching theme of everything discussed was the importance of collaboration and strong community partnerships to ensure a victim-centered approach.
To close, the Sheboygan County Human Trafficking Task Force said, “By continuing to learn from one another and strengthen our partnerships, we are better equipped to serve victims and support those impacted by crime.”
